"Tiffany" is a generic name given to any stained glass leadlight lamp which has been hand constructed or assembled using the Tiffany method. According to tradition, the individual pieces of glass are cut out from large sheets of stained glass according to desired patterns. The edges are then ground smooth, copper foiled, soldered to adjoining pieces (on a mould) both outside and inside with lead, washed and patinaed. A single Tiffany shade can comprise of hundreds or even up to thousands of individual pieces of stained glass which are joined to form picturesque designs.

Due to the handcrafted nature of leadlighting and depending on the complexity of the shade, countless hours and intensive manual labour are required in the manufacture of one single Tiffany shade alone. The craftsmen of this lamp have extensive leadlighting experience and are experts in the field.

This lamp is new and in perfect condition and suitable for any bedroom/living room or study room. This lamp has obtained full Australian approval. All electrical components have been individually tested and examined to meet all requirement standards.
